    Professional Responsibilities / Bio

    Gennaro Bonfiglio is a part time faculty mentor at Empire State College since September 2010.  He also is a full time, professional firefighter in the City of New York, since 1981.  He currently holds the rank of Battalion Chief and works in NYC's only Hazardous Materials Battalion, headquartered at Randall's Island, New York. This unit specializes in mitigating hazardous materials emergencies and fires involving biological, nuclear, incendiary, chemical and explosives releases.  Interests include physical fitness, sports, readiing books and listening to music.  Hobbies include playing the drums and vocalizing in a rock and roll band, coming to a venue near you, (if you live in New York State).
