Professor Chukhlomin has more than 30 years of teaching, academic innovation and leadership experience in Russia, China, Australia and lately in the U.S which includes extensive professional experience in the field of international marketing and management of higher education, including positions of Chair, Dean, and Vice-President of a major public university in Russia; president and CEO of a niche consultancy firm in Australia; academic area coordinator in the US. His research interests include international distance learning, virtual learning environments, international marketing of education, cross-cultural conflicts and collaborations, competency-based training, career and global competencies. Val teaches International Business, International Marketing, Cross-Cultural Management, Economics, International Political Economy, Strategic Management, Strategic Executive Leadership, and Career Brand Management. Since 2014, Val has been leading the development of three Coursera-based projects (the iMOOC, Career Brand Management Specialization and How to Get Skilled).
