Joan Buzick

Dr. Joan Buzick began her teaching career as a K-12 teacher of music.  Wanting to meet the needs of the children in her community, she co-founded Little Fiddler Academy Child Development Center where she worked closely with young children and their families.  The center was recognized for its integration of music and the arts, and service to the community.  During her twenty-year commitment to the center she continued her educational studies on investigating curriculum, child development and the science of learning.  Dr. Buzick brings nine years of higher education teaching experience to SUNY Empire State College having served as an instructor in the Education Division at Bloomfield College.
