Lorraine Lander

Lorraine holds a B.S. in Nursing, a M.A. in Applied Psychology, and a Ph.D. in Human Development in Educational Contexts.  She has taught at the undergraduate and graduate levels for almost 20 years and been a full time faculty member at Empire State College, State University of New York, for more than 15 years. She teaches in the areas of human development, psychology, education, and health with a special interest in sustainability education. Lorraine’s scholarly interests have focused on self-directed learning, wisdom, and more recently sense of place and the development of nature attachment.
