Sewon Kim

Sewon Kim is Associate Professor of Management in the Faculty of Business, where he teaches various OB/HR courses for the School for Graduate Studies. He received his Ph.D. from Texas A&M University. His research and mentoring interests center around coaching, strategic talent management, organizational behavior and development, global management and leadership and research methods. Dr. Kim’s scholarly work has appeared in leading journals in human resources and organization development related fields, and his recent recognition includes the SUNY Chancellor’s Award for Excellence in Scholarship and Creative Activities. Dr. Kim is a former recipient of dissertation awards from the ATD, AHRD and Emerald/EFMD (highly commended) and serves as an Editorial Board Member of the International Journal of Human Resource Management, the Journal of Applied Behavioral Science and the Journal of Managerial Psychology. Dr. Kim is an incoming Co-Editor-in-Chief of the Human Resource Development Quarterly (2020 Impact factor: 4.077).
